Our prices are dropping by 30 to 35%, we'll explain why.
Since the beginning of April, we have been offering you new prices: between 30 and 35% cheaper than before.
How did we do it? We are moving away from made in France for the manufacturing part. We are keeping the most important thing for the quality of the products, namely our suppliers of fabrics and supplies in France and Italy , and have been working for several months on preparing a new partnership with two workshops.
You will find the details of this new partnership by clicking here.
Why did we make this choice?
For several reasons:
- Because it cost us far too much, and if we had wanted the company to be viable and continue the made in France, we would have had to increase our prices and increase the Rachel bra, for example, to 95 euros. Added to that, the enormous delays, human relations with the workshop were very complicated, not to say non-existent. This had a strong impact on our morale and we were very disappointed.
- Because last year we felt the effects of the crisis on purchasing power, and our average prices were becoming too elitist. When we started Maline, we thought we could lower our prices once we had enough volume, hello utopia!
- Because with experience and our tests, there is no difference in terms of quality / durability of the product. On the seams and finishes part, it is Maline's job to define specifications on the type of seam, the finishes.
In our three partner workshops since the beginning of Maline, we have the label of being 'fussy' not to say 'annoying' compared to other brands. This label does not bother us, if it is the price of quality!
- There is also a historical know-how in the Maghreb and Portugal in the lingerie and swimwear sector. After spending three weeks on site in Marrakech, the seamstresses and tailors of this new workshop have integrated our requirements, and know our products like the back of their hand. 🪡
We have therefore found the right environmental and social compromise, which will allow us to offer responsible fashion at affordable prices.
Do not hesitate to write to us at bonjour@maline-bodywear.fr for any questions, we will be happy to answer them.
